At AMIkids, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of young individuals every day. Many of the youth we serve have encountered obstacles in their educational journeys and are involved with the legal system; we provide them with a chance to make meaningful changes in their lives. With over five decades of experience, we empower youth to pursue positive paths.
We are looking for a Human Service Professional (HSP) to assess, evaluate, and support youth receiving Residential Intensive Group Care services while facilitating the case management process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of youth needs through evidence-based assessments to ensure the timely provision of appropriate services addressing behavioral, psychological, and psychosocial development in alignment with established goals in each youth's Individual Care Plan (ICP).
- Act as a liaison between parents, the program, and relevant State Agencies.
- Organize timely transitional meetings and assist in creating a Transition Plan prior to the youth's exit; ensure completion of post-assessments and transitional plans upon release.
- Collaborate with program staff to discuss youth cases and monitor their behavioral, psychological, and psychosocial progress.
- Develop and maintain Individual Care Plans (ICP) tailored to each youth.
- Draft, approve, and sign Weekly Summary Notes.
- Ensure program staff complete weekly behavioral updates and track goal progressions.
- Formulate Care Plan Reviews (CPR) as necessary for each youth, including re-assessment of needs using evidence-based methods.
- Guarantee timely distribution of comprehensive monthly reports to relevant parties.
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model for assigned youth.
- Provide guidance and support in preparing graduating youth for placement.
- Schedule and conduct regular counseling sessions with youth and staff, adhering to fidelity requirements of evidence-based treatment models.
- Represent the program at meetings and youth legal proceedings as required.
- Intervene in youth altercations and incidents using authorized training methods.
- Administer first aid and CPR during emergencies, maintaining certification in accordance with national standards.
- Lead and/or participate in positive reinforcement, interdisciplinary, and care review meetings.
- Administer youth medications as per doctor's orders.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in behavioral science is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field, preferably working with youth.
- A state license or experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional, as per state regulations, is preferred.
