Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate referrals to outside resources and provide comprehensive case management to high-risk students.
  • Serve as a liaison to outside clinical and social support resources, identifying and developing a network of providers and institutions for student referrals.
  • Perform administrative duties related to clinical work and departmental business, maintaining accurate patient records and compiling data for quality assurance activities.
  • Provide initial psychological evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and focused support groups for students awaiting assignment to other resources.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work and New York State LCSW license required.
  • A minimum of five years of related experience, with at least three years of acceptable clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced diagnostic and clinical skills, particularly with respect to crisis intervention.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with serious psychopathology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated training and experience in areas such as alcohol/substance abuse, eating disorders, and LGBTQ issues.
  • Experience in college mental health settings and/or with late adolescent and young adult populations.
  • Inpatient experience and familiarity with local psychiatric resources and social services.
