The Inventory Specialist position is available at Metrolina Greenhouses Inc. in YORK.

Job Summary

This role supports the Tag Room and other inventory tasks, requiring a detail-oriented individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. The Inventory Specialist will receive, label, and store tag-related inventory daily.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pull and stage tags for Production and Shipping departments
  • Receive inventory
  • Perform basic inventory transactions in the company's MAS ERP system
  • Determine proper location for inventory, transfer bins when necessary
  • Put away inventory in proper locations and update the system
  • Consolidate and determine when more space may be needed in specific inventory areas
  • Review receiving information to determine if re-organization is needed for incoming inventory
Requirements
  • Basic Office 365 skills in Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and complete data workbooks
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks without supervision
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate well across all departments in the organization
  • Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' Inventory Experience
  • Forklift Certified
  • Knowledge of Metrolina tag terminology
  • Prior experience with inventory management/ERP Systems
Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily in a covered area, but may require working between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties. Fluency to read, write, and understand English is required. Must be able to work in outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties.

The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, however overtime and weekend work is required during peak seasons.
