Job Overview

Griffith Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Structure Division. This role is responsible for overseeing the administrative and technical direction of projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet all minority obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage the field team with the Division Manager and Estimator.
  • Establish project objectives with the Division Manager.
  • Implement corporate policies and procedures, including EEO and Affirmative Action responsibilities.
  • Represent the company by initiating and maintaining liaison with primary owner representatives.
  • Attend weekly owner meetings.
  • Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-site superintendents.
  • Manage job administration and contract documentation with owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of contracts, including job cost reports, billings, budget changes, change orders, accounts payable processing, and collections.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as necessary.
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope.
  • Review deliverables prepared by the team before submitting to clients.
  • Effectively apply Griffith Company methodology and enforce project standards.
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Minimize exposure to risk on projects.
  • Provide safety and quality control management.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and management of budgets.
  • Manage subcontractors and project teams.
  • Resolve problems involving labor disputes, material deliveries, and contracts/subcontract administration.
  • Oversee document control and coordination of subcontractors.
  • Initialize baseline schedules and ensure accuracy/integrity of project schedules.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4-7 years of experience managing structures projects.
  • Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, and risk management.
  • A strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of public contract code.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in identifying changes on projects.
  • An understanding of production and project projections.
  • Preferably a thorough understanding of estimating.
  • Valid driver's license.

Griffith Company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a superior health benefits package, generous performance-based compensation, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Corporation. Annual salary range: $110,000 - $150,000. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates outside of the local area on a case-by-case basis.
