The Goddard School of State College is looking for dedicated individuals to fill full-time teaching roles in our Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K programs. Our ideal candidates will foster a nurturing, safe, and engaging atmosphere for children while facilitating enriching educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a secure, healthy, and supportive learning environment.
- Design and implement educational activities within designated classroom areas.
- Conduct planned lessons and activities in both small and large group formats throughout the day.
- Assist children in navigating various parts of the daily schedule, including transitions, meals, and structured activities.
- Build positive relationships with families through effective communication.
- Adhere to the Goddard School's high standards of Quality Assurance.
- Demonstrates empathy and compassion towards young children.
- Reliable, adaptable, and enjoys collaborating towards shared objectives.
- Previous experience in childcare, daycare, or similar settings is preferred for Assistant Teacher roles.
- A degree or certificate (CDA) in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field is required for Lead Teacher positions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for the safe handling of children, including lifting infants in and out of cribs.
