Job Summary:

Ryder System is seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, including advanced skilled level repairs.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical systems, including AC and heating systems.
  • Inspect and repair brake systems, including air and hydraulic brakes.
  • Perform tire and wheel maintenance, including tire pressure checks and tire replacements.
  • Perform vehicle inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and other team members to ensure that repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred.
  • Three years or more relevant work experience preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred.
  • Non-commercial driver license Class E preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
