Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team at Homecare Products, Inc. This role is responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes to achieve efficiency and quality optimization.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Lead the implementation of lean systems in the production flow
- Develop manufacturing guides, procedures, and illustrations to ensure safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability
- Provide training and sustaining support to manufacturing personnel
- Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow to design layouts for maximum efficiency
- Audit and document manufacturing operation sequences and crew size times
- Perform periodic time studies to verify standard accuracy
- Review, confirm, and authorize process changes prior to releasing drawings for production
- Evaluate current product designs and propose changes to reduce material and labor usage
- Assist with programming CNCs to maximize output and reduce downtime
- Design tooling to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Prepare feasibility studies for capital equipment and prepare ROI for capital expenditure
- Provide technical support and information to other departments, suppliers, and customers as requested
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
- 4-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience with 3-5 years related work experience
- Specific experience related to the manufacturing of metal/aluminum products preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and other functional groups
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Good written and verbal communication skills required
Work is divided between production areas and office and meeting areas. Typical manufacturing environment with changes in temperature due to location of work to be performed. Occasional evening and weekend work. Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-energy environment.
