Job Overview

TULLOCH is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Technician to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery, preparing preliminary and detailed designs and drawings for various Civil Engineering projects, and ensuring plans are in compliance with applicable standards and drafting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Managers in project delivery
  • Prepare designs and drawings for Civil Engineering projects
  • Ensure plans comply with standards and drafting requirements
  • Estimate tender quantities
  • Supervise geotechnical drilling and test pitting assignments
  • Perform soil classification, logging, and sampling
  • Inspect and monitor construction
  • Prepare reports
  • Act as liaison for client communication
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical aptitude, with preference for candidates with construction or related field background
  • Ability to lift heavy items (20 – 50 lbs) and engage in physically demanding work
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously
  • Enjoy repetitive, routine work and long periods of travel (2-4 weeks at a time)
  • Comfortable driving a truck towing a heavy trailer
  • Exercise independent judgement within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
  • Trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to team success
  • Legally eligible to work in the US and/or hold US work authorization
