Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of consumers to identify their needs and develop effective intervention plans.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, including injections and treatments, in accordance with approved nursing techniques and provider orders.
- Vital Sign Monitoring: Monitor consumers' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other essential signs, to detect reactions to medications, treatments, and environmental changes.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed records of consumer interactions, including medication profiles, inventories, and treatment plans. Communicate effectively with consumers, staff, and management to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Team Collaboration: Function as a member of the inter-disciplinary team, participating in conferences and collaborating with providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Education and Experience: Completion of an approved program of formal education leading to a practical nursing certificate or any other approved method of obtaining registration as an LPN in the state of Oklahoma.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques, as well as crisis intervention techniques, physiology related to psychological and behavioral problems.
- Certifications and Training: Maintain current certification in Therapeutic Options, CPR, and First Aid.
