Job Title: Director of Engagement Management

Shift4 Payments is a leading provider of commerce-enabling technology, simplifying complex payments ecosystems across the world. As a Director of Engagement Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our market presence by leveraging Independent Software Partnerships (ISVs) and converting or upgrading existing Gateway-Only merchants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with Commercial Vertical Leaders and the Leadership team to design and implement comprehensive sales strategies aimed at increasing processing volume and achieving growth targets across all relevant vertical segments.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to 20 Engagement Managers and 3 Engagement Management Leads, ensuring high performance, motivation, and continuous professional development.
  • Market Expansion: Partner with the Shift4 Partners team to identify and support the pursuit of new ISV partnership opportunities, thereby expanding Shift4's presence in key industries such as hospitality, retail, food & beverage, and eCommerce.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee sales operations, including CRM management (Salesforce), tracking of sales campaigns and initiatives, and performance analysis at both individual and team levels, to ensure efficient and effective sales processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leaders and team members across all Shift4 departments on various projects, initiatives, and escalations, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
  • Reporting: Provide regular and ad hoc reports to Commercial Vertical Leaders and Leadership, detailing individual and team sales performance, market and ISV trends, and progress on strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the payment processing or technology industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of payment processing, fintech, Independent Software Vendor (ISV) relationships or related industries.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making and optimize sales strategies.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the Commercial organization.
