The Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Emory University Hospital Midtown is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to contribute to our specialized team.
This unit focuses on managing a diverse range of cardiac ailments, including multi-system failure, advanced heart failure, and heart transplantation. Our team is equipped to support patients experiencing severe shock states, utilizing both mechanical ventilatory and circulatory support systems.
Ideal Candidate Profile: The preferred candidate will possess current ICU experience as either an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Proficiency in mechanical circulatory support and invasive procedures is highly desirable. Experience with Central Venous Line (CVL) and Arterial Line placements is strongly preferred.
Position Details: This is a nocturnal role, requiring three shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating and treating patients.
- Document care delivery in medical records.
- Conduct patient interviews, documenting medical and psychosocial histories.
- Perform physical examinations and specialized diagnostic or therapeutic procedures under physician supervision.
- Collaborate with physicians to diagnose medical issues, develop care plans, and prescribe treatments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice nurse in Georgia and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- At least one year of direct experience in high-acuity clinical settings may be required.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS may be necessary in certain areas.
