Job Title: Mathematics Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Adjunct Faculty to join our team at Virginia Western Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching college-level mathematics courses on our main campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics courses to students of varying abilities and backgrounds
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessments to meet student learning needs
  • Maintain currency in teaching disciplines and trends in community college education
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mathematics or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics courses
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to write syllabi and exams, develop learning strategies, and work with students from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in Mathematics
  • Teaching experience at the college level
