We are seeking a highly qualified part-time Developmental Math Adjunct Faculty to join our team at Virginia Western Community College. As a Developmental Math Adjunct Faculty, you will be responsible for teaching developmental math courses to students in a variety of settings, including in-person and online. If you have a passion for teaching and a strong background in mathematics, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Teach developmental math courses to students in a variety of settings, including in-person and online.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Stay current with developments in mathematics education and incorporate best practices into your teaching.
To be considered for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the teaching assignment and either teaching/occupational experience related to the teaching assignment or graduate coursework in developmental education. Additionally, you must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred QualificationsA Master's degree in Mathematics and teaching experience at the college level are highly desirable. If you have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for teaching, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
