Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Ellis Entertainment LLC. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing general and preventive electrical maintenance on our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform electrical maintenance tasks, including repairs, constructions, adjustments, modifications, installations, and services of various types of electronic and electrical machinery and equipment.
  • Develop and implement plans for new or modified installations to minimize material waste, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit. Splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
  • Install or connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment.
  • Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Connect power cables to equipment, such as electric range or motor, and install grounding leads.
  • Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscope.
  • Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Perform normal functions of Maintenance Mechanic when not performing electrical work.
  • Identify and repair faulty equipment or systems as needed.
  • Layout, install, and maintain various electrical equipment, such as automatic controls, switchboards, control panels, etc. Establish secondary distribution center balance loads and wire circuits with a large number of units and connections.
  • Responsible for replacing defective wiring, making connections for new electrical installations, replacing fuses, repairing and installing electrical fixtures and motors, replacing parts on motors such as brushes, maintaining and installing wiring connections on control panels, fans, motors and starting devices, blowers, etc.
  • Standard construction PPE must be worn on all job sites, including a hard hat, hi-vis, gloves, eye protection, steel-toed boots, long sleeves, and a harness/double lanyard (if applicable). All workers must adhere to OSHA and state and local regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains performance and maintenance records of all equipment worked on or assigned duties.
Requirements
  • Licensed Journeymen must have 3+ years' of electrical experience
  • Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Use of hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, and hoists.
  • Knowledge of frame carpentry for renovation projects is a plus
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
