Job Title: Lecturer of Data Science

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer of Data Science to join our faculty at Georgia College & State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in data science, computer science, and math, as well as contributing to the development of our data science program.

About the Position

This is a 10-month, non-tenure track position that will involve teaching, research, and service. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in data science, computer science, or a related field, and experience teaching undergraduate courses in data science and computer science.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in data science, computer science, and math
  • Contribute to the development of our data science program
  • Advise students and mentor research projects
  • Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements
  • Master's degree in data science, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience teaching undergraduate courses in data science and computer science
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in data science, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience working in the data science field
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and Java
