Job Title: Lecturer in Data Science

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Data Science to join our faculty at Georgia College & State University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data science and computer science, with a passion for teaching and mentoring students.

About the Position

This is a 10-month, non-tenure track position that will teach courses in data science, computer science, and mathematics. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in data science, computer science, or a related field, and experience teaching undergraduate students.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in data science, computer science, and mathematics
  • Develop and implement curriculum for data science and computer science programs
  • Advise and mentor students in data science and computer science
  • Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements
  • Master's degree in data science, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students
  • Strong background in data science and computer science
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in data science, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience working in industry or research
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, and R
