Job Overview

Position: Enrollment Specialist

The Enrollment Specialist plays a vital role in assisting individuals with their enrollment processes, both through direct phone interactions and face-to-face meetings. This position is designed to provide essential insights into Salud's offerings and policies while guiding clients through their applications for various health coverage programs and insurance options they may be eligible for.

This role is hybrid, allowing for a combination of remote work (conducting enrollment sessions via phone) and in-person visits at Salud facilities. The expected distribution is approximately 50% in-clinic and 50% remote.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Wage: $19 to $21
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm

The Enrollment Specialist's responsibilities are crucial in ensuring that health coverage options are accessible and affordable for both patients and community members. The programs and insurances that the Enrollment Specialist assists clients with include, but are not limited to: Health First Colorado Medicaid, Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), Connect for Health Colorado insurance plans, and the sliding fee scale discount programs Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) and Salud's Clinic Rate program. Enrollment sessions are conducted through tele-enrollment (over-the-phone appointments) as well as in-person at Salud clinics. Enrollment Specialists may be required to work from home conducting tele-enrollment as well as travel to clinics for in-person enrollment sessions.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Health First Colorado Medicaid, CHP+, CICP, and Connect for Health Colorado program regulations is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and internet navigation.
  • Ability to clarify complex health coverage concepts in an understandable manner for the general public.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and proactively address challenges in client enrollment.
  • Awareness and sensitivity towards low-income and ethnic minority communities are essential.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate's Degree or two years towards a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a related field or performing similar responsibilities is required.
