Position Overview:
Are you eager to leverage your engineering expertise to enhance national defense and optimize combat weapon system design? In this role, you will be instrumental in understanding the operational environment of our clients and translating their needs into effective technical solutions.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will evaluate and analyze combat weapon systems through advanced computer-based analytical tools, including Excel, MATLAB, and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, or Modeling (AFSIM). Your technical acumen will play a crucial role in modernizing these systems, while you develop skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operational analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct scenario development and perform analytical evaluations of combat weapon systems utilizing mission-level constructive simulation tools such as AFSIM, Suppressor, ITASE, or NGTS.
- Utilize a range of commercial and government-off-the-shelf modeling and simulation tools, including MATLAB, C++, Perl, or Python, to process and analyze data.
- Create AFSIM scripts to tailor model behaviors and decision-making processes within analytical scenarios.
- Apply knowledge of U.S. and international combat weapon systems, including both aerial and ground-based air defense systems.
- Implement Operational Analysis principles to effectively execute study plans and analysis matrices.
- Maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in analyzing extensive raw model outputs to pinpoint key drivers.
- Ability to synthesize, summarize, and communicate complex technical insights and findings.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
Security Clearance:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
