Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lactation Consultant to join our team at Sinai Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert breastfeeding support to mothers and babies in our inpatient and ambulatory care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a database of breastfeeding statistics and trends within our patient population
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in breastfeeding support
  • Develop and implement guidelines and standards of care for breastfeeding support in our inpatient and ambulatory settings
  • Develop a reference library of breastfeeding materials for healthcare providers and mothers
  • Offer case conferences to support lactating mothers and their breastfeeding infants
  • Develop and maintain a breast pump station
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN license in the State of Illinois
  • CPR certification
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Certified by the International Board of Lactation
  • Will consider CLC working towards IBCLC certification
