Critical Facility Technician

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Critical Facility Technician to join our team. As a Critical Facility Technician, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and monitoring of critical infrastructure systems within a data center environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
- Serve as an expert technical resource, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and any third-party vendors.
- Support operated data centers and maintain better than 99.999% uptime for data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience with electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
- Possess a Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license, or equivalent.
- Ability to lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
- Ability to work at various heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
- Utilize appropriate test equipment, including infrared scanning and vibration analyzing meter, to perform system and equipment diagnostics.
- Understand the heating cycle, including identifying components, understanding how each component works, diagnosing problems, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Understand the refrigeration cycles, including identifying components, understanding how each component works, diagnosing and correcting problems, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
