The Development Operations Officer plays a crucial role within the Development Department, handling a variety of essential tasks to support a comprehensive and expanding development initiative.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Officer will oversee all administrative functions for the Development Team, which includes:

  • Managing the donor database
  • Coordinating and executing various mail campaigns
  • Facilitating the major donor appreciation process
  • Conducting research on potential donors
  • Maintaining and reconciling financial documentation
  • Assisting in the creation and editing of outreach materials
  • Coordinating all elements of donor events
  • Managing a select portfolio of major donors, fostering relationships with current, lapsed, and prospective contributors

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to and alignment with the mission of immigration reform
  • Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of experience in fundraising
  • Relevant experience in public policy, education, grassroots organizing, communications, writing, editing, and development
  • Proven success in cultivating donor relationships
  • Exceptional research, writing, and interpersonal abilities
  • An outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
  • Strong administrative and technological proficiency
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Unwavering commitment to professionalism in all aspects of work

Location: The position is hybrid, requiring in-office attendance for part of the week.

Benefits: This is a full-time, exempt position that offers a competitive benefits package.

Salary: Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $120,000, contingent upon experience and expertise in immigration reform.
