Job Title: Travel Contract - Interventional Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at a top-rated hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. As a key member of our Cardiology Cath Labs Anc team, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
  • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records
  • Organizing daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Completion of a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
  • Minimum three years as an Interventional Radiology Tech experience
  • One year of Epic experience

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
  • A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers, and staff throughout the department and hospital
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks
