Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at a top-rated hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and positioning patients and equipment for diagnostic imaging procedures.

Responsibilities:
Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations
Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images
Positioning patients and equipment, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient comfort
Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast
Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation
Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to physicians, and updating patient records
Organizing daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies
Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice
Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment

Requirements:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Ability to stand for extended periods
Strong technical skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Completion of a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
Minimum three years as an Interventional Radiology Tech experience
One year of Epic experience

Preferred Skills:
COVID vaccine with 2 shots & booster
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
Participates in relevant continuing education programs
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving expertise
Can-do, team-oriented attitude
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks
