Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Effects Engineer Lead to join our team at Comtech LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Electromagnetic Effects (EME) engineering solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the EME engineering team in the analysis and design of EME solutions for aircraft development and systems modifications.
  • Provide technical support for EME requirements definition, design support, integration, and test.
  • Develop and implement EME design support areas such as lightning, grounding, bonding, shielding, EMI, EMC, EMP, antenna analyses, cosite and link margin, HIRF, HERF/HERP/HERO, and other aspects of EME as defined by MIL-STD-464.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EME solutions meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures and reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (EME or RF Engineering) with a minimum of 9 years of related experience in the aircraft/aerospace industry, commercial or military.
  • Master's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Competent working knowledge of EME modeling tools such as FEKO, HFSS, Antenna Magus, CST Studio.
  • Compliance with EME per MIL-STD-464 and MIL-STD-461/RTCA DO-160.
  • Ability to work on and around aircraft, and ability to travel for testing if necessary.
  • Flexibility to work overtime on occasion.
Preferred Skills
  • Mid-level knowledge of AutoCAD, MATLAB, MathCAD, Teamcenter United.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Competent in standard MS Office software tools (Excel, Word, etc).
  • iNARTE Certified EMC Engineer certification beneficial.
