Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs concerning soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geological data to inform project planning and design.
- Prepare cost proposals and define the scope of work for prospective clients.
- Calculate costs and assess project feasibility based on data analysis.
- Participate in meetings to present technical information to clients and other professionals.
- Oversee the preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, testing schedules, and designs for projects.
- Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with engineering test plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Direct activities at project sites as necessary.
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design documentation.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
- Preferred experience in team leadership or management.
