POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Support Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the administration and coordination of daily employee support activities, ensuring that employee inquiries are addressed promptly or directed to the appropriate channels for resolution.
This role involves maintaining accurate and timely records of all employee support interactions, including claims processing, background checks, and drug program management. Additionally, the coordinator will provide assistance with benefits program administration, encompassing health, retirement, short/long-term disability, and life insurance.
The position will also support the Benefits Coordinator in managing Family Medical Leave (FML) and Paid Leave (PALE), ensuring accurate tracking of time utilized, documentation submitted, and updates regarding return-to-work statuses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, submit, and monitor workers' compensation claims; generate incident reports as required.
- Oversee the new hire, random, and reasonable suspicion drug testing programs; travel may be necessary for this task.
- Manage the collection of fingerprints or coordinate with Public Safety for timely fingerprint collection; travel may be necessary for this task.
- Conduct timely background checks for prospective employees.
- Assist the Benefits Coordinator in managing health, retirement, and life insurance programs.
- Support the implementation of training and development initiatives.
- Help distribute and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Process employee inquiries and ensure timely responses.
- Assist with the open enrollment process for benefits.
- Help facilitate benefits fairs.
- Manage the Human Resources Inbox, ensuring inquiries are addressed or assigned promptly, with follow-ups on unresolved inquiries after three business days.
- Provide departmental support for accurate data entry, electronic filing, and maintenance of personnel files.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
- At least one year of demonstrated experience in program compliance and maintenance.
SUBSTITUTION FOR ASSOCIATE DEGREE
- Four years of relevant experience may substitute for an Associate Degree.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The majority of the work is conducted in a professional office environment and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and lifting items weighing less than 40 lbs. Travel on small aircraft or ferry may be necessary.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- All employment at Ccthita is "at will," meaning either the employee or Ccthita may terminate employment at any time and for any reason.
- Ccthita maintains a zero-tolerance workplace. All regular employees may be required to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings to be eligible for and maintain employment.
- A criminal background check will be conducted on all employees. All employment offers are conditional until federal criminal background check results verify eligibility to work for Ccthita.
