Job Summary

Team Fishel, a leading utility engineering and construction company, is seeking a highly skilled Safety Coordinator to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety operation training and develop training programs to improve the safety of telecommunications, natural gas distribution, and electrical distribution operations.
  • Conduct routine safety visits to enforce safety policies, identify job hazards, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee and coordinate safety supplies inventory, conduct classroom and field training meetings, and maintain the condition and operational integrity of emergency response equipment.
  • Investigate reportable accidents, injuries, and job damages, and create and present monthly safety topics.
  • Serve as a member of incident investigation committees as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Prior experience in safety, with the ability to perform audits and document findings of company procedures and practices.
  • Effective communication and computer literacy, with familiarity of MS Office.

Preferred Skills

  • Related field experience in safety coaching, mentoring, and training for telecommunications, natural gas, and/or electric operations.
  • Current certifications in OSHA 500 and 510, and the ability to teach OSHA 10 standards.
  • Knowledge of industry safety practices, including NESC, DOT, PHMSA, and OSHA regulations and guidelines.
