Compensation: $1500 Sign-On Bonus. Hourly Rate: $40 plus DOE

This role involves conducting inspections of fire sprinkler and alarm systems within various buildings. Responsibilities include testing equipment, documenting findings, and generating comprehensive reports. You will assist the Inspection Manager in gathering data and preparing necessary documentation such as Sprinkler Inspection Reports, Fire Alarm Inspection Reports, Quick Reports, and Inspection Certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle low-voltage wiring and related equipment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all inspections.
  • Test all components of the building's sprinkler control panels and systems, recording results using a handheld device.
  • Generate completed inspection reports upon finishing inspections.
  • Engage in monthly team meetings to discuss progress and updates.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Sprinkler/Fire Alarm Inspector.
  • Possession of a Sprinkler & Fire Alarm license or NICET level 2 certification.
  • Familiarity with various systems including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and operational manuals.
  • Proficient in using testing equipment such as multi-meters and sound level meters.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards for fire protection system inspections and testing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Punctuality is essential for performing sound tests before tenant arrivals.
  • A college degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience is acceptable.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Safety Policy.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in various building environments with moderate to high noise levels and at heights.
  • Physically demanding role involving standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular use of phone and computer throughout the day.
