Position Overview
At Flagship Facility Services, we are dedicated to fostering a culture where our employees are passionate about their work. We offer competitive compensation ranging from $35 to $40 per hour.

Job Summary
The successful candidate will serve as the technical authority within a vibrant multi-tenant Life Science facility, reporting directly to the Facilities Manager. This role requires the ability to address operational challenges with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the performance of building systems, including automation, lighting, security, and life safety systems.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability within the building.
- Quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.

Essential Functions
- Manage building automation and life safety systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges.
- Conduct regular checks on building management systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Respond to requests related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and construction needs from clients and tenants.
- Maintain positive relationships with building owners and tenants.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, 6+ years of progressive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficient in building management systems (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls) and commissioning software.

Skills Required
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including air handling units, boilers, chillers, and elevators.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills to interact with owners, tenants, and vendors.

Work Environment
- The role is situated in a dynamic office environment that may include exposure to various operational conditions.

Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders as necessary.
