Pool Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team at the City of Merriam's Community Center. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our patrons while they enjoy our pool facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to patrons, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Enforce all facility policies and rules, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
- Guard and attend to swimmers, performing rescue maneuvers and administering first aid as needed.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Document all accidents and incidents, providing detailed reports as required.
- Perform light maintenance duties to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or nationally recognized training program.
- CPR for Professional Rescuer Certification.
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescue functions in water and on land.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain alert and focused for long periods.
