Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant I to join our team in Thoracic Surgery Nocturnist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with thoracic surgical conditions.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including Epic.
