We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant I to join our team in Thoracic Surgery Nocturnist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with thoracic surgical conditions.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and goals.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on patient care and safety.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including Epic.
