About the Role:
The Gardens at Stevens is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of Assistant Director of Nursing. This is a full-time opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in our 82-bed skilled nursing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Service Department, ensuring seamless delivery of care to residents.
- Review nurses' notes to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of resident treatment, medications, and conditions.
- Conduct daily rounds to observe the care of residents and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with physicians and visit selected residents to ensure their needs are met.
- Assist the Resident Assessment/Care Plan Coordinator in planning, scheduling, and revising the Minimum Data Set (MDS), including the implementation of Resident Assessment Protocols (RAPs) and triggers.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with over a year's experience in nurse leadership in a long-term care setting (Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing).
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.
- Experience working with the geriatric population is preferred.
