Maintenance Supervisor

At Darling Ingredients Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our rendering process equipment, ensuring that all equipment and buildings are sanitary and in good repair.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair process machinery and hydraulic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Provide direction and leadership for the maintenance crew and daily activities and duties.
• Train Level 1 and Level 2 Maintenance personnel.
• Manage plant maintenance activities in Maintenance Connection (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Ensure all Company safety procedures and safe operating standards are followed by plant personnel, in accordance with OSHA.
• Manage daily inventory of supplies and parts, ensuring replacements are ordered in a timely fashion.
• Attend regularly scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in supervisory position / overseeing plant personnel in an industrial setting or in combination.
• Proficient in basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance with industrial equipment and/or combination of vocational training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in the use of computerized Maintenance Management Systems
• Experience with Maintenance Connection Software
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
• Prior rendering experience preferred.
• Advanced welding experience/skills preferred.
• Vocational school training preferred.
• Good communication skills both oral and written.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Team player; works well with others.
• Detail oriented; well organized.
• Good math skills.

Work Environment:

The Maintenance Supervisor will work in a plant environment that requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
