Medical Surgical Neurology Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Neurology Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of effective care plans.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement and evaluate care.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop, evaluate, and revise care plans to meet patient needs and goals.
- Administer medications and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
- Delegate work appropriately to non-licensed staff in accordance with standards of practice.
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient care, education, and discharge planning.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
