We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Neurology Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policy and procedures.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to non-licensed staff as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on care and treatment options.
- Facilitate discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition of care.
- 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience in an acute care setting is preferred
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred
