Job Title: IT Product Owner

Costco Wholesale is seeking an experienced IT Product Owner to join our Ecommerce IT Division. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining requirements, assisting with the overall product roadmap, and driving value at the scrum team level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and technology stakeholders to define new and enhanced product requirements and functionality.
  • Consult with Product Managers for guidance and clarity on the product vision, roadmap, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters to ensure the work managed by teams achieves the highest value relative to business needs.
  • Prioritize the sprint backlog based on the sequencing and ranking of features defined in the product roadmap.
  • Drive the execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) activities with support from business and technology team members.
  • Support business strategy by forming a backlog of features and user stories for use by the agile delivery team.
  • Articulate requirements for each user story with detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure that all requirements support business needs, fulfill goals and objectives, and meet stakeholder needs.
Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience as a Product Owner.
  • Proven experience working on an agile and/or waterfall team.
  • Proven experience with creating documentation for communication with varied audiences.
  • Proven experience working within a complex software development environment and projects.
  • Deep understanding of business requirements elicitation pursuant to specific programs/projects involved.
  • Proficient in User Story creation.
  • Expertise in utilizing standard documentation tools/utilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Possesses product knowledge and process improvement skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively propose solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years' working in SAFe methodology.
  • Agile Product Owner Certification.
  • Product Owner and/or Business Analyst experience in IT Ecommerce.
  • Deadline-oriented and capable of self-management.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment.
  • Ability to listen to and understand business needs.
