Overview:

The Financial Operations Analyst role is designed to enhance the operational efficiency of Renewable Biofuels Inc. by providing in-depth financial modeling, analysis, and support for business activities. This position will also encompass essential middle office functions on a daily basis. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities to optimize business processes through innovative technology solutions and analytical assessments of financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and maintain comprehensive financial models and analytical systems to support commercial operations.
  • Regularly evaluate and refine modeling methodologies to enhance outcomes, demonstrating initiative in system development.
  • Conduct thorough analyses on various financial and operational matters, including contract evaluations and inventory reconciliations.
  • Create and analyze rolling cash flow forecasts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare timely management reports that offer insights into organizational performance against established objectives.
  • Utilize CTRM systems (such as Right Angle) to extract and manipulate data for reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to establish key assumptions for financial and operational models.
  • Provide analytical support to various internal functions as required.
  • Perform sensitivity and scenario analyses to assess operational and financial impacts.
  • Assist in risk evaluation and verify the reasonableness of assumptions, alerting senior management to any inconsistencies.
  • Stay informed about advancements in technology tools and processes that can enhance team productivity.
  • Monitor competitive developments and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
  • Support the commercial sector by executing daily middle office tasks, including the review of commodity pricing and trade executions.
  • Cross-train to provide backup support for fellow analysts.
  • Engage in additional modeling and analysis tasks as assigned.

Required Skills:

· Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in financial modeling; mastery of MS Excel is essential. High proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Word is also required.

· Proven experience in developing financial models.

· Ability to produce accurate reports and data independently, with a strong attention to detail.

· Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to derive insights from complex data.

· Detail-oriented team player committed to delivering high-quality results in a timely manner.

· Must be adaptable and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Completion of coursework or certification in financial modeling is advantageous.
  • Experience with Bloomberg or similar financial terminals is a plus.
  • Familiarity with RightAngle or other CTRM systems is beneficial.
  • Experience in the energy sector, particularly in mid-office roles, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance is an advantage.
