Position Overview
The Financial Operations Analyst is an entry-level position dedicated to assisting in the project accounting and financial operations.

At Kiewit, each project is managed like an independent business, where the Financial Operations Analyst focuses on essential responsibilities such as forecasting models, cash flow assessments, risk and opportunity evaluations, return on investment analysis, and data analytics.

Analysts will gain expertise in various cost and revenue elements, including labor, construction equipment, materials, and subcontracting.

Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end closing processes and prepare financial reports for project management.
- Collect and analyze financial data, develop and test hypotheses, and present recommendations and solutions to management.
- Oversee processes managed by service partners, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and human capital management.
- Build relationships with the Operations team and demonstrate a willingness to learn about the construction sector.

- Embrace new challenges beyond previous experiences or educational background to develop a versatile skill set.

- Understand intercompany and client billing workflows, emphasizing the importance of timely and accurate billing documentation and its impact on cash management.

- Review costs, quantity claims, budget structures, and exception reports, making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate reporting for leadership.

- Identify, modify, and review forecast and budget discrepancies in the cost report to ensure proper recognition of costs and revenues.

- Maintain an organized work environment, prioritize time management, and communicate clearly and effectively.

- Adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program and collaborate with the compliance department to implement all EEO and labor laws at the project level.

Qualifications
- 0 - 2 years of experience in financial or data analysis.
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities with the capacity to drive projects from initiation to completion.
- Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other essential functions is preferred.
- Recognizes the importance of teamwork and adapts to changing project requirements.
- Effective communication (both verbal and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
- Must be able to access all areas of a construction site in various climates and environments.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.

- Work productively and meet deadlines consistently.
- Communicate and interact professionally with supervisors, employees, and others in both individual and team settings.
- Perform work safely and effectively, understanding and following oral and written instructions, including safety protocols and equipment usage.
- Work during standard operating hours to organize and complete tasks within specified deadlines. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
- May work at various locations with varying conditions.
