Position Title: Millwright - Greensboro, NC
Role Overview:
The Millwright is responsible for accurately diagnosing, replacing, and/or repairing manufacturing machinery using the appropriate tools and materials. This includes performing essential maintenance tasks such as inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, lubrication, and component replacement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in troubleshooting, disassembling, and rebuilding rotating machinery, including gearboxes and plate heat exchangers.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, particularly on technical subjects.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.
- Experience in commercial and/or industrial maintenance settings.
- Possession of a complete set of basic hand tools suitable for industrial maintenance and repair (specialized tools will be provided by the company).
- General understanding of bearings, conveyors, drives, gearboxes, pumps, and both pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Physical capability to stoop, bend, and maneuver tools in confined spaces.
- Ability to work at heights.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance is required.
Physical and Job Site Requirements:
- Completion of hiring paperwork electronically is required.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to perform the technical duties outlined above.
- Capability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain.
- Full range of motion consistent with age is necessary.
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
- Adequate hearing to respond to voice commands and alarms from colleagues and equipment.
- Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination are essential for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
- Safety footwear (steel toe) is required.
