We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a physician, providing quality treatment and care in a surgical specialty or trauma emergency department setting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting health histories, physical exams, and individual/group health education (20%);
  • Ordering diagnostic laboratory tests and radiological tests with physician approval (20%);
  • Interpreting physical findings, lab, and x-ray results, making diagnoses, and formulating treatment plans (20%);
  • Referring cases to immediate supervising physicians when necessary (20%);
  • Providing emergency care to prevent loss of life, limb, or eyesight (10%);
  • Supporting clinic function through policy development, operational improvement, and implementation (10%);

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a Physician Assistant program approved by an accredited medical body. Prior experience is not required.

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $110,000 per year, variable shift hours, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
