Patient Care Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at MUSC Community Physicians. As a patient care specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough interviews with patients to obtain their medical history
  • Measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
  • Assist physicians with examinations and procedures

Requirements:
  • Certification through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • One year of patient care experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
