Vehicle System Data Analytics Specialist

At Aptiv, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in the automotive industry. As a Vehicle System Data Analytics Specialist, you'll play a critical role in analyzing complex data generated by advanced safety systems, autonomous vehicle features, and user experience technologies.
You'll work closely with our engineering and data science teams to derive meaningful insights from large datasets that help optimize vehicle performance, enhance safety features, and improve user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets collected from vehicle systems, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), sensor data, and user interactions, to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of data models, algorithms, and visualizations to help engineers better understand system performance and safety outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable improvements for vehicle safety and user experience systems.
- Assist in building automated reporting tools to provide real-time data insights for vehicle testing and validation.
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Help identify and troubleshoot system inefficiencies or issues by interpreting data from testing and real-world driving conditions.
- Present findings and recommendations to engineering teams, contributing to the continuous improvement of Aptiv's advanced vehicle systems.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Passion for working with complex datasets and turning data into actionable insights.
- Understanding of automotive systems and interest in advanced safety and user experience technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
