Our team is dedicated to providing solutions that help people design and build safer, stronger structures. As the New Tooling Shop Supervisor, you will oversee the Tool and Die shop, supporting Branch and Product development teams with die creation and other functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, motivate, and direct team members using effective performance management techniques, including goal-setting, recognition, and feedback.
  • Develop and execute plans to improve internal processes, achieving targeted department metrics.
  • Manage materials and services required to support the department, partnering with internal and external sources.
  • Perform various support function tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Two-year certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years related manufacturing experience and/or training.
  • 5 years managing others.
  • 2 years' experience working with stamping and/or other manufacturing processes.
  • Consistently exemplify high safety standards and monitor others to the same standards.
  • Consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
  • Able to apply basic algebraic and geometric concepts, and perform arithmetic operations.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and related correspondence.
  • Ability to use 2D/3D CAD software and interpret tooling and product drawings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Simpson computer applications.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with various situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Effectively communicate in group settings and one-on-one, with all departments and at all levels within the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead by motivating, coaching, and mentoring team members, prioritizing work, and championing change.
  • Able to read a tape measure to 1/32" tolerance and use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree, micrometers, calipers.
  • Able to use hand and power tools, as well as powered industrial equipment.

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts. This position requires domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time. This full-time, exempt position is in Stockton, CA. Relocation is not available for this position. The salary range is $82,200 - $114,000 / year.
