AeroTurbine Chief Inspector - Accessory Shop

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Inspector to oversee the inspection of components, subassemblies, and finished products in our Accessory Shop. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the removal, testing, repairing, or replacement of components in accordance with Technical Orders. J85 engine experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train intermediate/senior level inspectors on engine overhaul inspection processes;
  • Write non-conforming materials reports when required and be familiar with quarantining products rejected by QA;
  • Lead quality and engineering investigations of process-related quality issues;
  • Read, understand, interpret, and follow maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, service bulletins, and Technical Orders to carry out tasks;
  • Provide strong leadership and communication skills to mentor team members as the resident inspection expert on components, subassemblies, and complete engines;
  • Detail-oriented, ability to stay on task, and self-motivated;
  • Compliant with safety procedures and policies.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED;
  • 10 to 15 years' experience in a Quality Control Inspection function;
  • Basic computer skills; understanding and knowledge of basic inspection tools;
  • J-85 engine experience desirable;
  • Proficient in the English language to interpret and follow various technical data.
Pay Range: $33.00 to $39.00 hourly
