About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Matheny Medical and Educational Center. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with medically complex developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care tasks to assigned patients, ensuring their hygiene, safety, comfort, nutritional, elimination, activity, and social needs are met.
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with individual personal plans of care, including nursing, therapeutic, dietary, and behavioral interventions.
  • Participate in nursing report at the beginning of each work shift and communicate any problems or changes in patient status.
  • Respect patients' rights, concerns, privacy, and dignity at all times.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, preferred but not required.
