Job Summary

The Morrisville Auxiliary Corporation is seeking a skilled Food Service II to provide support to the dining service activities at assigned locations. This role involves preparing and serving food items to students, staff, and visitors while maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise student employees and ensure they follow food safety procedures and provide excellent customer service.
  • Store leftover food and potentially hazardous items properly and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Prepare and portion food products according to company recipes and food safety specifications.
  • Set up line areas, collect supplies, and maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Operate kitchen tools and utensils, including knives, and maintain their cleanliness.
  • Receive and store food requisitions and supplies, and process phone orders and assist customers.
  • Assist in catering and special functions, and maintain production records according to departmental procedures.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas, and maintain the operation and cleanliness of the Unit and equipment.
  • Operate a cash register and perform cash-ups, and replenish products as needed.
  • Sweep and mop work areas as needed, and report any equipment and service problems.
  • Report any deficiencies or problems with food or supplies, and prepare catering or special event food items as necessary.
  • Attend food safety training as scheduled, and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

A high school graduate or equivalent with experience in short order cooking, food service equipment, food handling procedures, and cash handling procedures is required. Moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs., constant standing, bending, and walking, and exposure to temperature extremes, slippery surfaces, congested work areas, and potentially dangerous equipment, tools, and machinery are also required.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is a yearly salary of $15-15.
