Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Practical Nursing Instructor to join our team at Eagle Gate College. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist students in a full-time position, providing guidance and support in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to develop, administer, and grade examinations, ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of student attendance and grades, maintaining the integrity of our academic records.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives, driving quality and innovation in our programs.
  • Develop and implement orientation programs for new faculty, ensuring a seamless transition into our clinical and theoretical settings.
  • Apply adult learning principles to create engaging and effective teaching experiences.
  • Maintain a commitment to continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance the quality of our instruction.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and safety regulations, ensuring our programs remain relevant and effective.
  • Participate in committee activities that support the mission and function of our nursing program.
  • Attend faculty meetings, contributing to the development of our academic community.
  • Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in assigned healthcare facilities, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Evaluate student performance in relation to clinical learning outcomes, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on clinical performance, supporting student growth and development.
  • Assist in maintaining student records of clinical attendance, skills check-off forms, and program data collection.
  • Ensure clinical assignments meet the needs of both students and facilities, promoting a positive and productive learning experience.
  • Determine the most effective methods for observing, instructing, and evaluating students, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs.
  • Verify that clinical facilities meet all health and safety requirements for Unitek College students, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Establish open lines of communication with students, providing access to regular office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.
  • Participate in student advising activities, offering guidance and support to help students achieve their academic and professional goals.
Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a BSN degree and at least 3 years of bedside experience as an RN in the field. If you are a motivated and dedicated professional with a passion for teaching and mentoring, we encourage you to apply.
