ROLE OVERVIEW
The successful applicant will oversee the production of airfield designs. Responsibilities include guiding the team in developing construction plans and specifications, as well as managing multiple project tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in civil engineering, with involvement in various landside and airside projects, including rehabilitation and reconstruction of airfield pavements, grading and drainage design, stormwater management, and utility engineering.
Engagement from project inception to completion in the design and construction administration of airport design projects, covering grading, drainage, pavement design, specifications, and construction phasing plans.
As a technical lead, one can expect to coordinate all facets of a specific project with the design team and sub-consultants on a daily basis, providing technical reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze GIS data, survey data, geotechnical data, subsurface utility information, and other data essential for project development.
Draft technical engineering reports.
Conduct Quantity Take-Offs.
All of these tasks may be performed across multiple projects each day.
There is no typical day in the life of an Aviation Infrastructure Engineer; every day presents new challenges.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
0-3 years of professional experience in all aspects of site civil engineering for design, including grading and drainage design, utility design, etc. A Master's degree may substitute for 1-2 years of experience.
EIT Certification
Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience in airfield civil design, including airfield pavement design.
Familiarity with FAA Airports policies and procedures.
Ability to manage and prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and effective decision-making, organizational, and editing skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conceptual thinking abilities.
Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to support projects and assignments.
