Job Summary

The Armstrong Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Plant Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As an OSP Technology Engineer, you will play a critical role in evaluating, testing, and recommending new equipment and materials to support the implementation of cutting-edge technologies and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and Development: Conduct thorough research and assessments of new materials and equipment for field deployment, ensuring they meet the company's standards and requirements.
  • Technical Evaluation: Utilize RF and Optical test equipment to evaluate products and vendors for performance and innovative applications, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation for operational use, deployment procedures, and design standards, as well as develop training materials for new products and applications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with operations teams to conduct product trials and performance evaluations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Industry Standards and Compliance: Review and implement industry standards related to plant infrastructure, ensuring the company's compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Optical, or RF.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in RF and Optical networks, strong organizational skills, and ability to adapt to changing deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information.
  • Teamwork: Effective team player with the flexibility to maintain remote relationships.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to local operations and vendor sites as required.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
