About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Occupational Medicine team at Salem Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and alert physicians to potential life-threatening situations
  • Recognize critical diagnostic data and alert the physician in a timely fashion
  • Determine priorities of care and intervene in cases falling outside normal clinic protocol
  • Anticipate the need for selected diagnostic tests and initiate testing according to protocols
  • Ensure adequate discharge instructions are given to each patient

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in either an urgent care, family practice, or clinic specialty office
  • National certification from NCCT, NHA, AMT, or AAMA
  • Current BLS certification
